Montbello Organizing Committee

Montbello is a neighborhood in Denver Colorado. It is a community rich with assets. But it also faces many challenges. While it is one of Denver’s largest neighborhoods it also experiences an under-investments of resources and infrastructure on all fronts.

Recognizing the need for a committed process of organizing residents, a diverse group of Montbello residents and stakeholders began meeting in 2013. Simply calling themselves the Montbello Organizing Committee (MOC) they began training in community organizing, talking with community members, and establishing the foundation for an organization that maintained the original group’s name.
